Who knew 18 years could fly by so fast! Our youngest child has just turned 18! He is the youngest of 5 and when I say youngest, there are 10 years between number 5 and number 4! Our 18-year-old is our 'bonus'child. What a ride it has been!
During the last 18 years our family has experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We have moved to a different country, children have graduated from high school and college, gained driving licenses and degrees. Children have married, divorced and married again, grandchildren have joined our family. We have lost dear loved ones. We have all traveled extensively. We have sold a house and bought a house. We have gone through too many cars! We closed our business down in one country and opened a business up in another. We have made so many beautiful memories that surround our hearts. We also have memories that have broken our hearts but we hold them so close to us. If I could liken the last 18 years to a tapestry, I would say it is made up of the most beautiful and vibrant colors but binding those colors together are black and grey threads that make the stunning shades stand out.
We have been blessed. I don't use that term lightly. We have been truly blessed with a love and a bond between us that makes us all celebrate each other's success and support each other during the dark times.
I hope you come along with me on this blogging journey. I will be sharing some personal stories about my life whilst sharing with you my wish list of items that I think are worth a mention. More importantly, I will share experiences with you that I hope will inspire, provide healing and most of all put a smile on your face!
